WELCOME !!

April 21, 2011 - For some unknown reason Google disabled my site so you cannot access the pattern PDF files.  I'm working with Google to get this resolved.  I will let you know when it's fixed.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

April 26, 2011 - With Google being Google, I just opened up a new site.  All the links should now be working.  If  not let me know :0)

Welcome to the wonderful world of Hand Piecing!!!

Why hand piece when making quilts by machine is so much faster? Well, for one thing, it’s very portable, you can hand piece anywhere, ball games, doctor’s office, and dance classes, anywhere you find yourself sitting and waiting. The accuracy you get by hand piecing is wonderful, all those lovely sharp points and matching seams. It’s very relaxing to just sit back in a comfortable chair, watch TV and spend quality time with your family as you stitch perfect little blocks. Oh, I should also mention that fellow quilters will be in awe of your abilities.

The purpose of this blog is to teach the hand piecing process, the way "I" do it. There are many other resources for hand piecing and I encourage you to try everything you come across, so you can find what works for "YOU".

To maneuver around this tutorial, you can just click the "Older Posts" link at the bottom of each post. This will take you to the next step. If you want to skip around, you can click on the "Tutorial Pages" links in the side bar.

The block we will be making is NOT pretty but was designed for practice only. Please, do not feel bad if you decide to toss it in the trash when you are done, it's probably what I'll do with mine :0)

Here is the block we will be making:

If you have any questions or any part of the instructions are unclear, put your question in the comment area and I'll get back to you. Be sure that I have a way to e-mail you as I will not be responding directly to the comment section.

Again WELCOME to my little corner of the quilting world!!
